That is a great point about small local governments not having the resources to provide quality public services. Small communities often face an uphill battle when it comes to providing quality public services due to their limited budgets and resources. However, with a bit of creativity and collaboration, these communities can continue to provide essential high-quality services. One way to do this, as you note, is by establishing a task force or working group consisting of representatives from all related local governments (Broccardo et al., 2019). This is really what we should be seeing at every level of government. By pooling their resources together, these communities can amplify their capacity for public service delivery in many important ways Appio et al., 2019). Plus, this collective approach can also help foster greater inter-governmental understanding and collaboration as local entities come together in pursuit of common goals. Therefore, creating a task force or working group with representatives from all relevant local governments could be a viable option for small communities looking to continue providing quality public...
This can lead to a lack of trust and accountability between the different levels of government, which further complicates the collaboration...…For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand hima threefold cord is not quickly broken. In short, collaboration is something that governments should pursue. But they must pursue it in a Christian spirit or else little will be accomplished. No good can be accomplished without God, and to pretend otherwise is to set oneself up for failure. Thus, governments should collaborate but first they must do all for the glory of God and establish…
Christian Security The Christian Doctrine of Eternal Security Christian faith is driven by the underlying notion that doctrinal adherence will lead to salvation. However, just exactly how one effectively adheres and achieves that salvation is a matter very much up for dispute. In fact, this is the dispute at the center of this discussion, which considers what some consider to be among the most divisive matters in the Christian faith. The question
Christian Counseling Theories Christian authors present the very unique set of principles and strategies aiming at helping empower individuals going through counseling. Examining Christian literature and theory illustrates clear assumptions that different authors share, yet also pulled out some clear differences as well. For example, Backus and Chapain (2000) present fluidity, while Adams (1986) suggests Scripture. Still, these authors do all show that the word of God is a crucial element
Christian Biotechnology: Not a Contradiction in Terms Presented with the idea of "Bioethics" most people in the scientific community today immediately get the impression of repressive, Luddite forces wishing to stifle research and advancement in the name of morality and God. Unfortunately, this stereotype too often holds true. If one looks over the many independent sites on the Internet regarding bioethics, reads popular magazines and publications, or browses library shelves for
Thus, the ecological teaching of the Bible is of stewardship, so that rather than being "spiritual at the earth's expense [….] it means exactly the opposite: do not desecrate or depreciate these gifts […] by turning them into worldly 'treasure'; do not reduce life to money or to any other mere quantity" (Berry 526). This biblical ecology would seem in direct opposition to the engagement with capitalism Benne and
Christian Ethic This report is an attempt to explain the concept of the Christian Ethic. As the world becomes a smaller place through new technologies such as computerization and the internet, a daunting question of present-day life lingers -- can the Christian philosophies and teachings of Jesus survive globalization? Affecting a common good is difficult for a single national or ethnic community so the idea of a global Christian Ethic seems
Christian Counseling According to McMinn Counseling others through difficult time, challenging personal crises or the simple complexities of everyday life requires patience, compassion and selflessness. These are also all features of a good Christian life devoted to fellowship and the scriptures. These are the ideas at the crux of Mark McMinn's 1996 text Psychology, Theology and Spirituality in Christian Counseling. At its most basic, the text is an outline of the
